Expert Answers about Keystone Trailer Jack

  • Simple Replacement Jack For a 2023 Casita 17' Travel Trailer With FIC Tongue Jack
  • I recommend replacing your jack with our Electric Jack # EJ-3520-BBX. This is a simple jack without the bells and whistles like you are looking for. You get a light, electric jack and manual override should the electric motor die. The jack will bolt in place and wire in similarly to your FIC jack on your 2023 Casita 17' travel trailer. I find it easiest to just connect to your tow vehicle rather than getting a jack and jack stand out but since your jack is damaged you may need to use a jack.

  • How To Add a Powered Tongue Jack To a 1999 Sooner 4 Horse Living Quarters Trailer With Single Jack
  • Depending on what jack you currently have you may be able to just add the Bulldog Powered-Drive Kit # BD1824200100 on your 1999 Sooner 4 horse living quarters trailer. As I have no way to see what jack you have this kit is specifically designed to fit a Bulldog 12K static capacity jack. We do have the Bulldog Square Jack # BD182500 which is a weld in style jack you can use with the drive kit if you do not already have a Bulldog Jack.

  • Recommended Electric Tongue Jack 2017 Keystone Passport Ultra Lite Grand Touring Travel Trailer
  • Hello Scott, so we have quite a few electric jacks that will be of sufficient capacity for your 2017 Keystone Passport Ultra Lite Grand Touring Travel Trailer. If you are looking for the fastest-moving jack, I recommend the Phoenix Electric Trailer Jack # UF38-944040. This has a 4,000 lb capacity and it will move 6" in about 10 seconds under 1,000 lbs of tongue weight. I imagine that with your camper being 7,500 lbs loaded, your tongue weight should be pretty close to 1,000 lbs so you should...

  • Availability of Removable Trailer Jack
  • The only solution we offer for a removable trailer jack is the ARK part # ARK57FR that you referenced Jerry. The removable feature isn't a super high demand option so there aren't a whole lot of jacks with that feature built in.

  • Comparing Ultra-Fab and Stromberg Carlson Scissor Jacks for Trailers
  • Hey Mark! I recommend the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks # UF48-979002 over the Stromberg Carlson Leveling Scissor Jack Set # JSC-24 any day of the week because the Ultra-Fab is backed by a limited lifetime warranty and it has a higher weight rating so not only will the jacks have an easier time with the weight of your trailer, if any malfunction were to occur you can have confidence in the warranty. The Stromberg Carlson has a lower weight rating and a 1-year limited warranty so it's...

  • Will The Lippert Electric Trailer Jack LC285318 Work For A 2017 Keystone Cougar 34TSB
  • Hello Paul, the Lippert Electric Trailer Jack # LC285318 is a great choice for your 2017 Keystone Cougar 34TSB Travel Trailer. According to the online user guide, your camper has a hitch weight of 1,005 lbs, so a 3,500 lb rated tongue jack will certainly be up to the task. It has a built in LED light and a manual crank option. Hopefully you will never need the manual crank but it nice to know you have that option if the need ever arises. You can expect the jack to move 6" in about 40...

  • Is There Solution for Needing Replacement Bearing in Older Trailer Jack
  • It's probably going to best to replace the jack at that age as that's pretty old and is probably not still made. I attached a link to a page that has all of the jacks we offer. If you want to let me know what style of jack you have I can get you a more specific recommendation.

  • manual Crank Scissor Jack For A 2022 Cherokee Wolf Pup 17JGBL
  • Hey Scott, I can definitely point you in the right direction of a new stabilizer jack for your camper. I do not have a way to look up exactly what kind of jack is currently on your camper, but these scissor jacks are fairly generic. The # TJSC-24 jack that you were looking at has a 2,500 lbs capacity. based on what I can see online the 2022 cherokee Wolf Pup 17JGBL has a GVWR of 4,999 lbs, so a 2,500 lb rated scissor jack like the # TJSC-24 will be more than sufficient.

  • Replacement Electric A-Frame Jack for 2024 Forest River Flagstaff 170OTG
  • To replace your RAM A-frame jack I recommend the Electric Jack # EJ-3520-BBX. With a trailer that light you don't need anything super powerful or fancy so this would be the best option. It also doesn't carry a high price tag. This has a lift capacity of 3,500 lbs with a total lift of 25-1/8" and comes with a footplate not a wheel.

  • Recommended Stabilizer Jack That Uses Tension
  • I wasn't able to find any weld-on aluminum jack, but I was able to find the Stabilizer Jack # TJ01RT which sounds like it could be what you're looking for. This jack uses a spring lever to adjust the leg height, and uses the trailer's weight as tension to keep it locked in place. You can see this in the video I've linked, starting at 1:12. All of our Aluminum stabilizers are not going to be what you're looking for, I don't think. They're going to be the old school style Ultra-Fab Stackable...

  • Max Height of Electric Ground Control TT Automatic 5-Point Travel Trailer Leveling System
  • Thanks for reaching out, Joe! The Electric Ground Control TT Automatic 5-Point Travel Trailer Leveling System # LC672136 offers 18" of travel for the A-Frame Jack and 12" of travel for the rear Jacks. The bracket on the front jack is 10-3/4" off the ground when the leg is retracted and measures 28-3/4" when the leg is extended. Since the rear jacks fold up really close to the frame you'll only be adding about 7" with the when it's retracted (so it'll be about 19" altogether).

  • Does Trailer Need to be Unhitched From Tow Vehicle to Use Lippert High-Speed Power Stabilizer Jack
  • Hey Darryl, thanks for reaching out! The Lippert High-Speed Power Stabilizer Jack # LC298707 will be the better option for your rig over the Electric Ground Control TT # LC672136 since you're wanting to stay hooked up to your tow vehicle when you make your stops for your mobile food pantry. With the High-Speed Stabilizer you'll be able to stay connected to your truck while also utilizing the legs to keep the trailer from wobbling back and forth. I do recommend lowering your front jack...

  • Recommended Replacement Scissor Jacks for a 2016 Jayco X17Z
  • Matt, I'd say yes # UF48-979002 would be a bit overkill. Plus, you only get two jacks in that kit and the other kit # TJSCHD-24-4 you get 4 which is going to stabilize your trailer better. The 10K capacity that # TJSCHD-24-4 has is going to be plenty in my opinion, especially since your trailer only weighs 3,500 lbs.

  • Does the Trailer Valet 5X Have to Stay on Trailer and Which Side Does It Need Mounted?
  • The Trailer Valet 5X Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover # STC-V211 does not always have to be attached to the trailer. The mount is able to stay on the frame and you can store the mover in your trailer, vehicle or leave at home. I personally prefer to mount it on the passenger side of the trailer tongue as it feels more comfortable there but you can use it on whichever side is best for you.

  • Tire Recommendation for a 15" Vesper Steel Modular Trailer Wheel with 5 on 5" Bolt Pattern
  • Thanks for reaching out, Jack! The Vesper Steel Modular Trailer Wheel # TA27RR with the 5 on 5" bolt pattern is only available as the wheel, so you'll have to get a 205/75R15 tire mounted by a tire shop. For a tire I recommend the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # TR20515D because of the weight rating (2,150 lbs at 65 psi), the 81 mph speed rating, and the radial construction of the tire. Attached are some review videos for you to check out!

  • Replacement Motor for Atwood Landing Gear 75271
  • We've checked in the past and have been told the only current landing gear motor that can be used with your Atwood setup is the part # LG-142178 which even having a lower capacity will still do a great job. The jack motor doesn't support the trailer weight directly so you do no have to worry about not having enough capacity.

  • Replacement Leaf Springs For A Dexter 2,200 lb Axle
  • The Dexter Double Eye Leaf Spring # 072-017-00 you mentioned is intended to be used with a 2,000 lb axle. It can be a suitable replacement for your 2,200 lb axle, as long as the gross trailer weight does not exceed 2,000 lbs. You will also want to make sure the replacement spring is identical in length to the current spring. There is no way for us to know the length of the current springs based on an axle number or VIN. The best thing to do is to jack up the trailer and measure the eye-to-eye...

  • Will Coil Springs Help Reduce Vehicle Sag While Towing
  • Hey Steve, the Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for Coil Spring Suspension # CSS-1069 is definitely going to help, but ultimately the best way to reduce sag while towing is to use a weight distribution system. If you can let me know what your tongue weight is of your trailer when loaded up ready to roll, I'd be happy to make some suggestions I think you'll like. Or, if you'd rather use a tow vehicle suspension upgrade let me know what year your Audi Q5 is and I'll help you out there.

  • 2" Hitch Extender For Use With Weight Distribution to Help Tailgate Open
  • Hey Gary, thanks for the question and the best option for a 2" hitch extension for use with weight distribution is one from Brophy: - 7" Hitch Extender For 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # HE06 The # HE06 is rated for up to 7,000 lbs towing/700 lbs tongue weight when used with weight distribution, but please note that it will limit your hitch capacity by 50%, so you do have to go by whichever is the lowest total. For example, if your hitch was rated for 8,000 lbs towing/800 lbs tongue weight,...

  • How To Activate Surge Brakes on Triple Axle To Verify Brakes Are All Working Properly
  • There are 2 ways to activate a surge brake actuator. This is going to require you to have 2 people if you are wanting to then spin the tires to ensure the brakes are working correctly. I have linked a help article near the bottom of the page which goes into further detail and will help you visually see since there are images. The first way involves using a flat head screwdriver to manually push the master cylinder rod and send pressure to the brakes. Not all actuators have the ability...
